West Bay for Dorset seaside holidays.

West Bay is the seaside resort to and working harbour part of Bridport, which is just a couple of miles inland and is a busy little market town with a good mix of shops and restaurants. It is situated on the coast of Lyme Bay between Lyme Regis and Dorchester.

You can fish from the pier at West Bay or take a boat round the Bay to go deep sea fishing or pleasure cruising to admire the fabulous Dorset coastal cliff scenery.

West Bay has a Harbour Life Exhibition and Bridport Museum is the place to discover the story about the Saxon town with Sam, the rope makers' apprentice. Bridport also has its own Art Centre.

The Black Bear has a life size staue of a bear above the entrance dating back to 1770.

River cruises from Wareham Quay will take you into Dorset Lakeland, and there is a variety shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants to attract your attention.
